Dress Code

Ready to Fly? Gear Up, Young Performer — Here's What to Wear to Every Class!

Apparatus-Specific Recommendations

  • Aerial Silks, Lyra & Trapeze: Long sleeves and leggings are strongly recommended to minimize fabric burns and skin abrasion.

  • German Wheel: Athletic shoes or sneakers are required.

  • Stilts: Athletic shoes are required.

Not Permitted

  • Loose clothing that may catch on apparatus.

  • Jeans or clothing with zippers, buttons, or metal embellishments that can damage equipment.

  • Dangling jewelry or watches.

  • Chewing gum during class.

Florida Aerial Dance & Circus Arts Dress Code

Required Attire

  • Form-fitting athletic wear or a leotard.

  • Leggings or fitted athletic pants that allow full range of motion.

  • Midriffs must remain covered during class - even upside down!

  • Hair must be securely tied back away from the face.

  • Remove all jewelry before participating.

Footwear

  • Socks are required for all students. Grippy socks are recommended but regular socks are acceptable.

  • This policy is in place for hygiene and safety, helping prevent the spread of foot conditions and protecting the studio flooring.
