The FADCA Philosophy Every Artist Deserves Two Gifts: A Foundation and a Voice.

When families join Florida Aerial Dance & Circus Arts, they often see two performance companies:

Cirque Jeune and Cirque Prêt.

They are not simply divided by age.

They are built upon two different educational philosophies.

Both are equally important.

One cannot exist without the other.

Cirque Jeune

Build the Instrument

Childhood is a remarkable time.

A young body is learning at an extraordinary rate. Strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, rhythm, timing, and movement patterns develop rapidly when they are taught with consistency and care.

This is the season to build exceptional habits.

Every climb.

Every inversion.

Every pointed toe.

Every straight knee.

Every safe shoulder position.

Every beautiful line.

These details become the foundation upon which everything else is built.

We embrace repetition because repetition creates confidence.

Confidence creates freedom.

Our goal is not simply to teach tricks.

Our goal is to build bodies that move safely, efficiently, and beautifully for a lifetime.

Excellence is earned one thoughtful repetition at a time.

Cirque Prêt

Find Your Voice

There comes a time in every aerialist's journey when growth begins to change.

The younger body often progresses rapidly through new physical skills.

As young artists mature, their bodies naturally change. Some skills become harder to achieve, while others become uniquely their own.

This is not the end of growth.

It is the beginning of artistry.

Technique remains essential, but it is no longer the destination.

It becomes the language through which an artist speaks.

This season, we chose a new path.

Rather than traditional troupe auditions, we asked our students to interview with us.

We wanted to know more than what they could do.

We wanted to know who they are.

What inspires them?

What stories do they want to tell?

What makes them laugh?

What makes them brave?

As productions develop, students will audition for roles, featured acts, and creative opportunities rather than being placed into rigid casting from the very beginning.

We believe artistry grows when young people are trusted to create.

Every performer brings something different.

Some possess extraordinary strength.

Others possess extraordinary presence.

Some tell stories.

Some create laughter.

Some move an audience without saying a word.

Our responsibility is not to make every performer the same.

It is to help every performer become more fully themselves.

Why We Believe in Both

A violin must first be carefully crafted before beautiful music can be played.

But no one builds a violin simply to admire the wood.

It exists to make music.

Cirque Jeune builds the instrument.

Cirque Prêt teaches the artist to play it.

Together, they create something extraordinary.

To Our Students

Whether you are seven or seventeen...

Whether you are climbing your first silk...

Or performing your fiftieth routine...

Know this:

You belong here.

You are expected to work hard.

You are expected to encourage one another.

You are expected to grow.

Some of that growth will happen in your muscles.

Some will happen in your confidence.

Some will happen in your courage.

Some will happen in your heart.

All of it matters.

Welcome to another season at Florida Aerial Dance & Circus Arts.

Let's build something beautiful together.
